1. ENERGY AUDIT
Energy audit is the process of analyzing and interpreting the level of energy consumption for a building, during which the level of consumption for each specific process and system that consumes energy is recorded. At the same time, energy auditing is also the first step towards the identification of all energy losses in a building. After identifying and calculating energy costs and savings, the ultimate goal is to report these results and to identify measures to be taken in order to improve energy efficiency.
Buildings’ energy performance certification should be mandatory for:
- all buildings or units of buildings which will be sold or leased;
- all buildings, which will be built or undergo significant renovation (over 25%);
- all buildings in use by a public authority or by institutions providing public service and frequented by the public, which have an area of use above 250 m2. In this case, energy performance certificates must be placed in places clearly visible to the public.
